Develop a digital Twin for the Gas-Lift Well System.
Gaslifting is one of the processes used to artificially lift oil from wells, where the tank pressure is insufficient, by injecting gas into the loop and through the tube with the aim of increasing production. Our work in this webinar focuses first on developing a model of the gas lift process using MATLAB and Simulink tools. The second part of the webinar will be devoted to simulating the instability due to some large oscillatory differences that occur on the system during production downturns (also known as the cover title phenomenon). We then show how this problem can be addressed by developing a control layer (PID controller) to stabilize the system.
